There’s a bunch to rant about – the outcome of my Thanksgiving’s Day preparations, Jack’s 5th BD the weekend before (women drew on my face as I slept!!!), and it’s been a couple of months since the inception of the Cookie of the Month installment.  Been thinking about M&M Cookies, but am open to suggestion (just keep it to a realistic cookie – nothing people are unlikely to buy, make or eat). 

On the other hand, I am flat-out fucking wiped out these days.  My sinuses ache and I’ve started reaching into the wastebasket to reuse Kleenex, feeling awful guilty about the forest-loss which might have occurred as a result of my mucous-mopping needs this past month.  So as I organize the catch-up posts I’m adding in a page to the EAT section, which has been renamed “Frogs in the Salad”.   It’s a piece about buying and using cutlery. I wrote it a coupla years back after an acquaintance asked for some advice on getting new knives. His minor request resulted in the extended screed, Chop! Chop! Chop!, which I’d emailed to him. 

Don’t really know if it ever helped him in selecting blades. I do know he has never sought my counsel on anything else.
